Mentoring
A spiritual friend or mentor helps you process the ups and downs of life with no set agenda.
What is Mentoring?
Are you a looking for a mentor? Mentoring can take many forms but, in general, a mentor is someone with a lifetime of experience and hard-won wisdom who's willing to share what they've learned with others. When that mentor is also a follower of Jesus, they can offer far more than advice or the benefit of their life experience. A spiritual mentor listens between the lines, to what you're saying and what God might be saying to you in the process.
I've led teams in multiple contexts for more than forty years. I've launched and piloted three start ups, worked for a Fortune 500 company, and navigated the rigors of a growing church through good and bad times. I'm also the father of four, grandfather to ten, and husband of one! I understand the unique challenges leaders face and I'd love the opportunity to come alongside you whatever season you're in.
How Does it Work?
Each ninety-minute mentoring session begins with a time of prayer, inviting the presence of the Holy Spirit. The conversation that follows can be wide-ranging, touching on various aspects of your life, work and relationships. You set the agenda. I'm there as a trusted, confidential friend with your best interests at heart. I may offer advice at times or suggest another way to think about or approach a situation. I may also recommend a resource or lead you through an exercise to bring clarity. I'm there to listen without judgement -- supporting, encouraging and affirming -- while helping you discern what God might be saying or where He might be leading.
How Do I Get Started?
Get in touch using the contact form below. I'll get back to you with my availability and a list of options. Once you choose the option that works best for you, I'll reply with some suggested dates and times for your first session. You can meet with me in person, if you live in the Kansas City area, or we can meet online. Needless to say, due to my other responsibilities, space is limited. That said, I'll do my best to accommodate every request.
NOTE: I offer a FREE fifteen-minute consultation via Zoom should you have additional questions or you'd simply like to meet before your first session. You'll see this option listed in the email reply referenced above. I look forward to hearing from you!
